Kettlebaston Old Rectory is just over 3 miles from the historic 13th century wool town of Lavenham with its beamed houses, beautiful church and Guild Hall (owned by the National Trust).
South Suffolk is loved for it’s medieval connections to the wool trade with lots of pretty villages and beautiful churches - Long Melford, Clare and Cavendish being the most visited. Kersey is a gem.
For art lovers Flatford Mill in Constable country, Sir Alfred Munnings’ Art Museum in Dedham and Gainsborough House in Sudbury are excellent.

The Old Rectory is not accessible by public transport. The house is 10 miles from Sudbury with trains from London, via Marks Tey and 10 miles from Stowmarket for trains from the midlands.
There is easy access by car from London via M11 or A12 and from the midlands and North via A14.
